This publication is an attempt to reintroduce Participation Income into the policy world. We, at Our New Economy, see it as a promising tool to strengthen the income policy debate. The PI can coexist with experiments such as the universal basic income or the creation of social jobs.

Deze publicatie is een poging om het Participatie-inkomen opnieuw te introduceren in de beleidswereld. Wij, bij Our New Economy, zien het als een veelbelovend instrument om het debat over het inkomensbeleid te versterken. The Netherlands has thousands of examples of citizens initiative. People get to work in their own communities with housing, energy, care, food, transport, nature and much more. Initiators do not work on one goal, but on several goals and they use their resources very smart to achieve those goals. In this way they save costs and create more yields.

Nederland kent duizenden voorbeelden van maatschappelijk initiatief. Mensen gaan in hun dorp of wijk zelf aan de slag met wonen, energie, zorg, voedsel, vervoer, natuur en nog veel meer. Initiatiefnemers werken in hun dorp of wijk niet aan één doel, maar aan meerdere doelen en daarbij zetten zij heel handig hun middelen in om die doelen te bereiken. Zo besparen ze kosten en creëren meer opbrengsten.
